Firstly, the "logic" of some of the settings strikes me as a little weird. Of course, you have night time and day time settings, but the settings that alter the devices sensitivity to daylight just didn't seem to work. Also, compared to the indoor motion sensor, this device doesn't seem to have any temperature sensor. It's quite bulky too.
8MP resolution with SONY IMX219 CMOS image sensor. Fixed focus lens on-board. Support 1080p30, 720p60 and 640x480p90 video record. A wide range of lens FOV available: from 40°-160° OmniBSI technology for high performance (high sensitivity, low crosstalk, low noise) All software is supported within the latest version of Raspbian Operating System
Nov 13, 2015 · In broad daylight, humans can visualize objects in the glaring light from the sun, while at night large objects can be detected by starlight when the moon is dark. At threshold sensitivity, the human eye can detect the presence of about 100-150 photons of blue-green light (500 nanometers) entering the pupil.
V4L2_CID_ISO_SENSITIVITY (integer menu) Determines ISO equivalent of an image sensor indicating the sensor’s sensitivity to light. The numbers are expressed in arithmetic scale, as per ISO 12232:2006 standard, where doubling the sensor sensitivity is represented by doubling the numerical ISO value.

1. SMART MOTION SENSOR: The motion detector works like a small electronic eyes that detect infrared waves—heat waves that radiate from moving objects. When the detector senses an object moving across its field of view—especially warmer objects such as people, animals and cars—it electronically turns on the lights.
To combine two motion sensors, add to the activity actions of each sensor a “motion sensor cancel” to cancel the other sensor. Make sure you do this for every time slot. Here you need to have “only reacts if groups are off” turned OFF – so that one motion sensor can take over actions of you are out of sight of the other one (note that ...
